The goal of this project was to design an addition for the Johnston building, which houses the interior design department, on Anderson University's campus. Our addition was a greenhouse that would allow a natural environment accessible to all design students. Studies have shown that plants have positive effects on both physical and mental health. Taking this research, we decided providing a greenhouse for a mental and physical break would be a great addition to this building where students often spend a great deal of hours couped up inside.
